The electro-hardcore wave has taken the Australian alternative music scene by storm, finding many of us captivated by the awesome combination of throat tearing screams, earth trembling breakdowns and melodic synth. Two years and about 50 Australian electro-hardcore/metal/experimental bands later, there’s no doubt the wave has reached a plateau where the excitement and originality now leaves this relatively new genre somewhat bland and predictable.
